Oh my goodness, this was a much needed trip. I got to spend 3 days and 4 nights with my husband. It was the best Valentines/Presidents Day weekend...couldn't possibly ask for more.

Friday, I got there around 4 o'clock pm, traffic wasn't bad at all, not like I expected anyway. We went to dinner at a place called The BBQ Pit, it was really good and not too expensive. It was too late to really do anything else, so we went back to the room and cuddled and watched movies.

Saturday, I was craving pancakes, so we went to IHOP...Yummy! We drove to Coronado Island and checked out the beaches. Oh how I love the beach. While we were there, we walked up and down the main street and browsed the shops. Matthew bought me a cute beaded necklace with a pretty pink flower on it. We had yummy frozen yogurt from this shop that you make your own frozen yogurt with toppings and what-not...it was delicious. People watching with my husband is fun...and hilarious...*giggle*

Sunday, after all that walking and exploring on Saturday, we went to the San Diego Zoo...I have never been to such an enormous zoo before...it was AMAZING! We spent the entire day at the zoo and saw everything...we walked probably 6 miles...and believe me, I'm feeling it in my calves. Lol. But it was so worth it. We didn't take the still camera in with us because we wanted to spend quality time together. Not to mention who wants to look at a million pictures of animals, lol, its more fun and enjoyable in real life, but we did take the video camera in, and let me tell you what, Im not very good with the video camera yet, but its funny to watch and memories we have to keep and watch later.

Monday, we decided to take it easy, Matthew had to go back to work Tuesday and I didn't want him to be so tuckered and run down from the weekend. But, he had some laundry to do, and didn't want to go back to the room while it was going, haha, so we stayed in the laundry mat for a little while till we decided to take...yeah...another walk. Lol. We walked to the ocean to look at the HUGE military ships by the pier. I was gimping the whole way there and the whole way back, Lol, not only carrying our baby girl (an additional 20 lbs on my front side) but walking as much as we did all weekend, I was done...my body was so sore I was walking like an old lady, hahaa! But it was so worth it, wonderful weekend. I got to meet one of his buddies in the training with him. He is from Monterey and had just got back from seeing his wife and daughter...he called Matthew and asked if he wanted to get a beer from the bowling alley...I was hungry anyways, so I said lets go. Nice guy, and when Matt and him get together, they are some funny bastards, Lol. I had dinner and they had a beer, then we all played arcade games...like we are 12, haha, but it was great. I didn't want the weekend to end, but I tried not to think about the fact that this was the last day and I would be heading out before the sun rises the next morning.

I miss my husband so much, but I'm glad that I have gotten to see him the last two weekends. Its going to be a while before we see each other again, but these first 2 weeks has gone fast, I'm hoping the next 6 go by just as quickly...and considering I have so much going on in March, I think they will. I feel so fortunate and happy...I have so much. I am incredibly grateful for my husband and daughter on the way...I cant even put it in words. As much as I miss him and want him to be home already, its healthy for couples to have some time apart...makes you that much more grateful for the time you have together. I fall in love more and more with him every time I look into his gorgeous blue eyes.
