This is what wine, a few friends, and a Saturday night will do...

So, yesterday, I went to a purse party that Elizabeth threw. Then at about 6pm we went to the wine walk. I got 2 new wine glasses, one from Identity Salon and one from Kool Threads (which has the Foxx logo all over it in green...its awesome). This year it didn't seem like very many businesses participated. I got a phone call from Identity Salon saying that I won the basket they were raffling...I'm so excited, I never win things like that. After the wine walk we came to our house and BBQ'd some pork chops and had some pasta and corn...it was delicious. Danny and Sue showed up and we drank some more wine and played Apples to Apples and Cranium. When I say we drank some wine I mean we had like 5 large bottles of wine...and well....take a look for yourself....

Mobile Blogging/Baby Talk

I know, I know, I'm a blogging whore, but I just recently figured out that you can send blogs from your mobile phone. My goodness they think of EVERYTHING. Hahaha.
.
Anyways, Matthew and I have finally decided on a boy and a girl name. Don't get the wrong idea here, we aren't pregnant yet nor are we trying right now...but we do want to have children, I'm hoping for one boy and one girl, and we want to be ready. I don't want to be pregnant and hormonal trying to negotiate and settle on names. I had a girl name picked out for years that I just always liked (Lyllian Jean) and I said that he could pick the boy name. Well, he said that he like the name Seth at first, I said no, then he said he really liked the name Wyatt...I absolutely don't like it...every time I say it, it comes out so hick-ish. Wyatt...."Wyatt, what did I tell you, git up ere and brush yur tooth!" Nope, don't like it, but he said, "you got to pick the girl name and you said I could pick the boy name."
.
Well, to make a long story short, we compromised and came up with Kyliegh Rae Griswold for the girl, and Aiden Kole Griswold for the boy. Hopefully one of those names will be attached to a baby of ours within the next year or so....*wink wink* I really like the name Kole spelt with a "K" but I was digging the spelling Khole. Matthew doesn't like it, he thinks it looks like K-hole...whatever, Kole it is Lol.
.
I love married life, and look forward to parenthood...not today, but eventually. I think we are going to make amazing parents and beautiful babies together. However, we are really working on getting settled down with a house, maybe get out of Ridgecrest and then start working on a family. Im willing to wait till we are 25 to start trying to have a baby...but I dont want to be older then that when we have our first baby.

Easter of 2009

Easter was so much fun this year. Matthew's mom called and asked if we were coming up there to spend time with them for Easter, he said no so she said, "Well, then we are on our way down there." So, Matt and I went to Walgreen's and bought Easter eggs and goodies so that we could have an Easter egg hunt in our apartment for Don and Debi. A few of the eggs had Tums in them, Sudafed, Dayquil, and quarters...the rest had Snicker's and M&Ms in them. We made them little baskets with a chicken that poops out Peanut M&Ms, and a bunny that rides a bike. Needless to say, it was awesome. They loved it. Debi kept stealing eggs from Don's basket when he wasn't looking. It was hilarious.

After they left, Matt and I had our own nontraditional dinner...instead of ham, we had steaks, rice, corn, and salad with some wine...it was so delicious.

Around 7pm, Elizabeth and James came over and we played Cranium. OH MY GOD!!! The best game ever (well along with You Might Be A Redneck If...we played that the night before...Matthew and James both had to play over half the game with a thick hick accent...I was in tears laughing so hard. Somehow it doesn't surprise me how good Matt is at talking that way, he is from Isabella after all. Haha!) Its so fun, and incredibly funny. I had to work Monday morning at 4am and we stayed up playing that game till 10pm, so Matthew and I are dragging this week, but it was so worth it. So, that was our Easter Sunday. Hope everyone else had a great Easter as well.

Hanging out with Shawn & Diana

Hanging out with Shawn and Diana was a blast. I wish they didn't live so far away. They live in Huntington Beach so we rarely get to see them. But this summer they are staying at the lake while they are out of school. Super stoke about that. We are going to have so much fun at the lake with them. Anyways, they came down and stayed the night last night and we went to Casey's for dinner, delicious. Shawn and Matthew got pretty drunk and Diana and I got nice and buzzed... we played board games and did some Wii bowling. LOL....it was pretty much hilarious. Well, their Spring Break is almost over, so they had to head back up to the lake to study for their mid-terms on Monday, but it was so nice of them to come visit us. We will for sure being doing it again sometime.

The fishing derby is this weekend, so the lake is going to be incredibly packed, but Matthew and I are thinking about going up there anyways...just to spend some time together. We can spend quality time together here, but we want to do something more productive then just sitting at home watching TV and movies and stuff. There are wildflowers everywhere up there, so maybe we can get some good pictures out of the trip. *wink*

$Taxes$

So, I heard that California isn't going to give us a refund check...instead we are getting an IOU. I don't know how true that it, but that's not cool at all. We should be getting a decent amount back considering I had to pay Federal. We are going to use that money to go to Alaska. It was a very close toss up between using it for a down on a house or a trip to see the family in Kodiak Island, Alaska. We choose family. I haven't been to Kodiak yet, and Matthew is so excited to take me there and show me around. So, we are planning a trip there in September most likely. Cant wait. We really want a house, but honestly, spending time with my brother in law and sister in law is way more important...we have a home and its serving its purpose just fine.
$$$
Because of Matthew's stupid and pointless business trip to Maine, I over drafted not once, not twice, but six times over the weekend. Gas, food, things like that that are necessity...yup...screwed us over. So, I have $180 in overdraft fees and my check wasn't as much as I expected, so now we have to take out of our savings, that is supposed to be for a down on a house, to pay rent.
$$$
I wanted to try to see my dad for his birthday this month, I was going to go on my long weekend, but we need new tires for the car, so cant make the trip this year.
$$$
Everything cost money...we all know that, but it just seems like you cant live life the the fullest without money anymore. We aren't quite in a depression, but its getting close. The government really needs to get things figured out and stop letting the economy crash worse. There are way too many people suffering over it. I have to say, we are doing pretty damn good considering the circumstances and I'm beyond thankful for it. We work hard for what we have, and so do a lot of other people. Its unfortunate, a lot of people are unemployed and still trying to support their families with little to no help. Somethings gotta give...things really need to change.

Whats New Pussy-Cat....

Things are back to normal since I got my l♥ve back. His trip to Maine went as well as can be expected...he made it back to me safely which is the best part of the whole week. Cant imagine him being gone for any longer then that lol. Anyways, everything that he did there he will be repeating here so it was pretty much a waste of the company's time and money, but hey, he got bank overtime out of it and some decent pictures too (you can check them out @ griswoldphotography.blogspot.com). This new contract seems to be a disfunctional mess right now though, so I hope things get a little more settled here soon...but, thankfully he has a job. There are 5 of the 7 people unemployed because the new contractor didnt pick them up...so a paycheck is a paycheck, you just gotta roll with it and dont complain.

Well, I am searching for new and better opprotunities, so hopefully something will come up, if not, same thing goes for me, just gotta roll with it. Im happy to have a job, pays the bills and keeps us from living in our car again *wink* . Im off for the weekend and Matthew is working right now...seems to be a patern when I get on here and write...hahaha. I really should be doing laundry, but I dont feel like it...all the laundry is from Matthews trip and this past week...so basically its more than usual and I dont feel like doing it *giggle* . Just got my nails filled, they have little blue flowers on them, so they look all spring time fun. I l♥ve it. The weather is so great today, its sunny, no wind, about 70 degrees out...Im actually wearing shorts and a tank top. Its officially spring...my second favorate time of the year (first favorate being winter)...well, expect for the bugs. I didnt realize how many bugs come out when it starts warming up until I this job. Its awful...Im terrified of spiders and they are everywhere at work right now...eeekkk!

Tomorrow, I have training from 8am to whatever time it gets over (sucks that on my long weekend they decide to have a mandatory training class), and then Shawn and Diana are coming in town and going to hang out with us for the night and perhaps stay over. Im super excited. They are great people. They are from Hunnington Beach area so we hardly ever get to see them, but when we do, its a blast. I think we are going to go bowling and play some games, drink and have fun. So...yup, thats whats going on here.
